Here's What's Going On . . .
Take a look below at all the events and activities that are going on with our Youth Group. Be sure to check back on this page for further details on all these events.
Sunday Night Youth Group has finished for the school year. We look forward to seeing you next fall, but in the meantime, check back here for any activities that are going on during the summer! Youth Group is open to all high school students and their friends. They are Sunday nights in Pope Benedict Activity Center from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.
Teen Hangout happens every Tuesday in the Youth Ministry lounge. All high school students are invited to come hang out, eat, relax, play, and just be after school until 5:30 pm. There is a school bus that passes the church, so you can just hope on that one!
Teen Co-ed Softball
Our team is up and running and it’s amazing what a one year difference can make. It’s our first week and we already won a game! (Maybe it was a forfeit from the other team, but it’s a win!) We also lost a game, but we had fun, had a full bench, and we have a coaching staff that brings out the best in all the players. Our next game is Tuesday, May 28 at McMurray Elementary, come on out and support our team!
Cedar Point Trip - June 9 - 10
Final Payments Due for Cedar Point!All final deposits are due ASAP. The rooms have been assigned and we are ready to go. We will be leaving St. Ben’s parking lot after the 7:30 am Mass and returning Monday around 11:00 pm. Parents, there is a packing list and rules sheet that is available for the trip (please click the link above to download). Please review it with your teen. We will also be emailing it to you or you can get it in the front office. We hope everyone is getting excited to kick off their summer together!
Mission Trip for Teens and Young Adults - July 7 - 12
Young Adult Mission Trip to Appalachia - July 14 - 20This year for mission trip the teens will be returning to Villa Maria, Pa to work with Habitat for Humanity, St. Vincent DePaul, Villa Farms, and other service agencies. We will go the week of July 7 – 12 and the cost is $250. All current high school students are encouraged to come and experience this amazing week of making a difference.
Young adults have the option of joining the youth group, or venturing to Appalachia the week of July 14 – 20 to work with Fr. Beiting’s Outreach Center in Kentucky. This trip will be led by Fr. Tom Lewandowki. There will be a meeting in the Youth Ministry Office on Tuesday, February 26 at 7:00 pm to discuss details and fundraising for both trips. If you are unable to attend the meeting or would like more information, please contact Janet at 724.941.9587.
