Vacation Bible School (VBS)
VBS is a popular summer program held for children who will be entering grades K-4 in the fall of 2007. This weeklong program is based upon a daily Bible story and is thematically developed throughout the day's activities. Lively music, games, crafts, snacks and skits make up the day which begins at 8:45 until 12:00 Noon. The participation of teenaged camp counselors makes VBS a popular week. Young people entering grades 7 through 12 are eligible for this special ministry, especially those students in need of service hours for Confirmation. These spaces fill up quickly so fill out the registration form as soon as you receive it in the Spring.
Did you know that over 200 children attend VBS every summer? We are very happy about that, but we are in need of many adult volunteers to help make VBS safe and successful. So, if you are looking for a worthwhile and fun opportunity next summer, consider offering your time and talents to VBS 2009— you'll be glad you did, and we will too!
