For the past several years, people at St. Benedict have gathered in homes to take part in small community faith sharing programs. It began with the National RENEW Program when people came together to talk about their faith in the context of scripture, family, work, world events and relationships.
Though the RENEW Program ended, some groups continue to meet in the fall and spring once a week for several weeks. Prayer, music, scripture and faith issues are weaved together in 90-minute sessions that meet at a time determined by the group. Sessions have featured Sunday Gespel readins, The Catechism of the Catholic Church, the writings of Pope John Paul, the mysteries of the rosary, world peace, as well as current popular writings.
New members and groups are always welcome. Even if you have not taken part in any small faith community in the past, come see what we're about. It might be the 90 minutes-a-week your heart and spiritual life needed.
