Confirmation

Our parish welcomes Bishop William Winter on
Saturday, November 6, at 11:00 am
for the celebration of the Sacrament of Confirmation.

On Sunday, September 12, at the 11:30 Mass, we will acknowledge our Confirmation Candidates of 2010.  All students and their parents are asked to attend this Mass and then join us for lunch and a gathering in O'Brien Hall after Mass.  The ritual at mass is modeled after the Rite of Continuing Conversion from the RCIA.  At our gathering, parents will have a chance to learn about Youth Ministry, details regarding confirmation preparation, and the students will submit their information packets. These are prayer flags that were created by our 2009 Confirmation Candidates at their Days of Reflection held in September and October. (Part of their preparation for the sacrament). Groups of students composed their prayers based on the “7 Gifts of the Spirit” which they would receive on their Confirmation Day. The idea is that the wind (a symbol of the Holy Spirit) would take their prayers throughout our community.
