In the Pittsburgh diocese, those who were baptized or received into the Latin rite of the Catholic Church as infants are to be led to the sacrament of Confirmation normally when they reach the 8th grade. The age of confirmation can be extended to the 9th grade at the discretion of the pastor.
We celebrate the fullness of Christian Initiation in the sacrament of confirmation in 9th grade. Candidates are formed over a two year period of immediate preparation and parent sessions are part of the program. Contact Faith Formation for more information, ext. 107.
